When the Great Recession hit in 2008, Evive was a one-year-old healthcare startup that had just raised a round of funding. Since then, the software as a service company has grown 10X: They now have over 300 employees around the world and serve roughly four million people.
How did they manage to not only survive the financial crisis, but thrive in its aftermath?
According to Evive CEO and co-founder Prashant Srivastava, it took a combination of both defensive and offensive measures. On the defensive side, they made sure to take steps to survive the recession: measures like preserving cash and negotiating credits from vendors. On the offensive side, they prioritized areas that they believed would position them to come out of the recession ahead of their competitors. Those actions set Evive up to grow to where they are today.
In this webinar, Prashant will share the steps his leadership team took in 2008 — and why taking similar action is essential for startups today.
He’ll discuss the importance of worst-case scenario planning, the value of communicating that plan to your team and how to pivot your product or company to remain relevant in the world after a crisis. The conversation will be moderated by MATTER CEO Steven Collens.
