As Director of Thousand Friends of Oregon, then a local elected official, Robert Liberty has played a major role in making Downtown Portland what it is today: a hotbed of economic activity and a great place to live.

Today, as Director of Portland State's Urban Sustainability Accelerator, Liberty is now sharing his expertise with cities across the country. These techniques could well be applied in Davis to help build our own local economy.
