FAQs

Who is this conference for?

It is open to all, teenagers to 90+, affected by or interested in learning more about ADHD. If you are a family member, caretaker, medical professional, educator, coach, or someone newly diagnosed with ADHD who wants to meet other people in a similar situation, this half-day conference will give you all that and more. You do not have to be a CHADD member to attend. If you are an educator, you can also self-apply for ACT 48 credits.

What does the conference ticket price include?

The three sessions (see info on presenters and topics below), and continental breakfast with coffee, tea, water, fresh fruit, bagels and breakfast pastries. From 8-9, and between the sessions, you can visit our exhibitors - local service providers and non-profits, schools, camps, professional organizers, therapists, CHADD, and more. After the progam ends at 1 pm, you will have a chance to talk to some of the experts and the local CHADD board members.

Who are the presenters and what are their topics?

Session 1: From Chaos to Calm: Dealing with Challenging Behaviors in Children, presented by Sharon Weiss, M.Ed
Session 2: Building Lives Worth Living! DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) Strategies for Emotional Dysregulation, Reactivity and Interpersonal Challenges for people with ADHD and other conditions, presented by Janette Patterson, MSW, LCMFT
Session 3A: The ADHD Trifecta: Creating Motivation to Action, by Casey Dixon, PCC, BCC, SCAC, MSEd
Session 3B: Parenting Strategies for Promoting Children’s Success at Home and School, by Thomas J. Power, PhD, ABPP

What is CHADD?

Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), is a national non-profit organization providing education, advocacy and support for individuals with ADHD. Chester County Main Line CHADD is a local, volunteer run chapter, active since 1992. We are hosting our 16th conference this year.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is plenty of free parking adjacent to the conference venue, the Thomas A. Bruder Jr. Life Center. SEPTA Bus Route 114 stops at Neumann University. See www.septa.org for trip planner and schedules.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

There are no refunds if you can't attend, but you may give your ticket to a friend or a family member.

What is the refund policy?

There will not be any refunds, except in the event of severe weather that would cause a Neumann University campus closing. A closing would be announced on the home page of the University, www.neumann.edu, and through a message on the main University phone number (610-459-0905). The CHADD website, www.ccmlchadd.com, would also post information.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please bring a printout, or the electronic version on your smartphone or tablet.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

You may attend in place of the registered attendee.
