Leslie, who looks at how the people that influence the way we live, live themselves, is returning to Heath SF in honor of her new book, Interior Portraits: At Home with Cultural Pioneers and Creative Mavericks, A California Design Pilgrimage. We’ve been a part of Leslie’s journey from the beginning, and it’s been a joy seeing her work evolve since her first two books — Modern Originals in 2014 and Handcrafted Modern in 2010 — launched at Heath. We’re excited to carry on the tradition. Leslie will be with us for a talk, signing, and drinks from Ashes & Diamonds in celebration of her third book, a love letter to her home state of California.

A very good friend of Heath and gifted photographer, Leslie has shot for over 15 years our factories, showrooms, studios, Heath owners Robin and Cathy's home, and Robin and Cathy. Her eye for light and balance, architecture and space, make for strikingly understated interiors photos that resonate with us greatly.

You'll love listening to Leslie's journey to meet some of California’s most creative and influential individuals and how they live (including Robin and Cathy). We’ll also hear more about her work overall, how it’s deepened over time, and exciting projects in the works. Creative director, curator, and another a very good Heath friend, Renee Zellweger joins us to moderate Leslie’s talk. And since we're on the topic of friends, Adam Brodsley and the team at Volume Inc. designed all three of Leslie's books, as well as Heath's logo, 15 years ago, and both of our books, The Complexity of Simplicityand Tile Makes the Room. It's a family affair!
