Description


A one-day conference to mark the publication by the University Chicago Press of Leo Strauss on Nietzsche’s Zarathustra, edited by Richard Velkley. This is the first volume in a series of transcripts of Leo Strauss’s courses to be published by the Press. Speakers will include Richard Velkley (Tulane University), Mark Blitz (Claremont-McKenna College), Paul Franco (Bowdoin College), and Robert Pippin (University of Chicago).

The text will be made available to registered conference attendees through the University of Chicago Press, which will communicate with you via email.

The conference will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Ida Noyes Hall, third floor theater, at 1212 E. 59th Street, Chicago, Illinois. Proceedings will begin at 10:00 am and conclude by 4:00pm.
