Please join us for an evening of Christian Yoga and/or Meditation, as we prepare our minds for Lent. We will explore the emotional and physiological benefits of Yoga and Meditation. We will learn how practicing Yoga and Meditation will help us quiet our minds, and see ourselves and others as created in God’s image. This will help us approach Lent with more clarity, less judgment of ourselves and a more openness to change. You will choose one of three 30-minute Break-out sessions:
1) Multi-Level Yoga - combines physical poses, breath-work, and relaxation techniques – perfect for those who have practiced Yoga before or are physically active.
2) Gentle Yoga – just right for those who have never tried yoga, or want to take a slower, less active approach to Yoga. Chairs will be provided for an even gentler modification.
3) Meditation – This option would offer instructions on how to meditate, a guided relaxation, then time to practice a short meditation. There would be no physical movement with this option. Attendees may sit on a yoga mat, pillow, or chair.
We will end our evening with dinner and fellowship. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a Yoga mat, or towel.
