Event Details

Ignite your passion for making inspiring photos! The farm offers a wide variety of spectacular subjects to create equally spectacular photos.  Marshall Webb and Sebastian Ventrone will guide you throughout the day both technically and creatively, so that you can get the most out of your camera.  We will start at 6:30am to capture the dawn and end around 6:15pm after sunset.

Instructors:

Marshall Webb

Marshall started helping his father with ‘chores’ at Shelburne Farms at the age of 3. By the age of 8 he was driving tractors and jeeps in support of the summer hay harvest. He attended Wesleyan University and earned a BA in French from UVM in 1972. That same year, he and his siblings started the nonprofit educational organization that now owns and operates the Farm. Over the years, he has held many positions here, from field hand, to milker, to assistant cheesemaker, and Special Projects Coordinator. He has served on the boards of several local non-profits. His wife, Kate, is one of the Shelburne representatives in the State legislature, and they have 4 daughters. Marshall’s favorite hobby is photography (especially of the farm!), and his favorite sports are snow and water skiing.

Sebastian Ventrone

Sebastian Ventrone has been a photographer for 40 years, starting his journey with a Nikon FM with guidance from his father (also a part time professional photographer). For the last 12 years, Sebastian has shifted over to the digital realm, loving the control and feedback of the modern SLRs. Sebastian's passion is landscape, macros,  and the endless subjects of our natural and manmade world. Sebastian enjoys passing his knowledge to other photographers and sharing in their photography journey.
