Statement of Need: Ongoing education is required in the field of neurosurgery to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The field is constantly evolving and now includes less invasive techniques like neuro-endovascular surgery. There are significant knowledge gaps in assessment and treatment options for patients with neurovascular disease. This conference will provide clinicians with an overview of best practices and the opportunity to interact with experts and share the most up-to-date information and resources for patient care.

Program Objectives:
All Northwell Health CME activities are intended to improve patient care, safety and outcomes. At the conclusion of this conference participants should be able to

– Identify strategies for the management of neurovascular disease.
– Review complex cases and the medical decision making to enhance the management options of neurovascular disease.
– Recognize indications for treatment versus conservative management in neurovascular disease.

Target Audience: Neurosurgeons, Neurologists, Vascular Surgeons, Head and Neck Surgeons, Oncologists, Radiologists, Neuroradiologists, Radiation Medicine Physicians, Internists, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

CME Accreditation: Northwell Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation: Northwell Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 8 AMA PRA Category 1 credits ™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Credit: The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) will accept 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ as equal to 1.0 ANCC contact hour. Nurses should inquire with their specialty organizations and professional institutions as to their acceptance of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Verification of Attendance: Will be provided to all professionals.

Faculty Disclosure Policy: Northwell Health adheres to the ACCME’s Standards for Commercial Support. Any individuals in a position to control the content of a CME activity, including faculty, planners, reviewers or others are required to disclose all relevant financial relationships with commercial interests. All relevant conflicts of interest will be resolved prior to the commencement of the activity.
