LENNY BEIGE - ONE MAN & HIS TALENT
West End Cabaret legend Mr Lenny Beige is finally making his LA debut.
For nearly 3 decades Lenny has been a regular fixture on the London cabaret scene. With 2 BBC TV series, a Channel 4 show and countless other appearances to his name this genuine all-round entertainer is packing his tux, his talent and his toupée and heading over the water to entertain his American friends with a mix of songs, comedy, stories, and improvised chat.
This unique entertainer is equally at home paying homage to his Jewish heritage with old school one liners, singing the songs of Tom Waits or Jacques Brel or performing his own wryly comic songs too. Come and see the man that has lit up London’s nightlife for over a quarter of a century.
What People Have Said.....
‘What more could you want from an all round-entertainer?’ The Glasgow Herald
Lenny Beige is a West End cabaret legend.
For nearly 3 decades he has been at the centre of London’s glittering showbiz world and is constantly updating and expanding his repertoire of shows.
His now first club The Regency Rooms began life in 1994 and sold out every one of its 10 seasons attracting ‘a well heeled and beautiful clientele’ (Sunday Times).
Beige became a huge cult hit and started appearing regularly on television which resulted in two series of his own ‘Lenny Beige’s Variety Pack’ for the BBC and a Channel 4 special.
The Regency Rooms had huge following, especially with celebrity clientele, many of whom were guest performers including Sacha Baron Cohen, Robbie Williams and Matt Lucas and David Walliams.
In 1997 he began the first of his one-man shows ‘One Man & His Talent’ which sold out at the Edinburgh Festival and has toured the UK as well as a season at The Criterion Theatre in the West End.
After a few years hiatus came a residency at The Pigalle Club, on Piccadilly. Beige was back. Time Out magazine wrote ‘Beige is in a league of his own. Feel the magic, kiss the sky, Beige is Back.’
Then came a residency at The Playboy Casino in Mayfair and he has been a regular performer at the legendary Crazy Coqs at Brasserie Zedel in the West End where he has performed his tribute shows to Anthony Newley, Neil Diamond and, most recently, to Tom Waits.
‘Patter is as sharply funny as his toupee is smooth, his dancing as offbeat as his band is note-perfect. Go show Beige some love.’ London Lite
‘He has a brilliantly evocative way with words, creating metaphors that sparkle, images that endure and crafted gags guaranteed to raise a laugh’ The Evening Standard
‘His energy levels are huge, his timing is masterful, he sings, dances, plays the violin and guitar and works harder than any other comic you’ll see.’ Sunday Times
‘He is also a wordsmith of some talent, firing off rapid one-liners that make your eyes boggle at their left-field vision. He demands the audiences attention and deservedly gets it.’ The Scotsman
‘A walking showcase of multi-talent.’ Time Out
‘The foremost light entertainer in London.’ ES Magazine
‘This show is hilarious’ The Observer
