Just in time for Banned Books Week, "UnCabaret" creator Beth Lapides moderates a celebrity panel discussion on the influence of the groundbreaking comedian Lenny Bruce. Panelists include:
Paul Krassner (editor of The Realist and Lenny Bruce's Autobiography)
Merrill Markoe (creator of Late Night with David Letterman and a number of books of comic essays)
Robert Weide (filmmaker--credits include "Swear To Tell The Truth," "The Marx Brothers in a Nutshell," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and an upcoming documentary on the Life and Work of Kurt Vonnegut)
Kliph Nesteroff (Author of "The Comedians"--A history of stand-up comedy and host of "Funny How" on VICE)
Andy Dick (Stand-Up Comedian and Comic Actor: "News Radio." "Zoolander." and "Old School")
Reservation Policy for “LA Made” Programs:
As all “LA Made” programs at Central Library are free of charge, it is our policy to overbook. In the case of a FULL program, your free reservation may not guarantee admission. We recommend arriving early. Space permitting, unclaimed reservations will be released to standby patrons at approximately 6:45 p.m.

There is no advance waitlist for full programs. Standby patrons will be admitted subject to availability on a first-come, first-served, basis.
