Live at Hole in the Wall, Kilkenny:
Lemoncello
Lorkin O'Reilly
Felix M-B

Saturday 29th of June
Tickets €10

Lemoncello are delighted to be returning to their much loved venue, Kilkenny's finest Hole In The Wall for their first show in the city in almost a year. Joining them is their good friend, US based Scottish folk singer Lorkin O'Reilly, as well as UK's rising folk-singer Felix M-B.

Lemoncello were formed in Maynooth when Laura Quirke (guitar/vocals) and Claire Kinsella (cello/vocals) began performing together while studying music and languages together in the town's University. Harmonious vocal melodies simply accompanied by cello and guitar, lend a sincere and honest rootsy sound, borrowing from wide range of influences, traditional and alternative. In the duo's relatively short life span, they have supported renowned Irish songwriters Mick Flannery & Damien Dempsey, as well as playing sold out shows around Ireland and beyond. Their 3-track debut EP "Stuck Upon the Staircase" has amassed over 700,000 streams on Spotify since its release in April 2018.

Born in Edinburgh but currently based in New York, Lorkin O'Reilly is an old-school folk artist with his songs tied in the influence of his Scottish and Irish roots. His incredibly accomplished-sounding debut album, Heaven Depends, was released last year on Team Records. Lorkin joins Lemoncello as a part of an 11-date UK and Ireland tour, and they are delighted to have him.

Growing up in Derbyshire amongst actors and musicians in his parents’ touring theatre company,
Felix M-B began gigging in Derby, Nottingham and then across the U.K. playing shows with the likes of Lorkin O’Reilly, Alasdair Roberts, Lucy Ward, Josh Wheatley, Daudi Matsiko, Joel Baker, The Slow Show, Monica Heldal, and Georgie.

Working with production duo Steve Maclachlan & Lucy Ward, in 2015-16 he released and toured two 5-track EPs ‘Will I Sleep?’ and ‘The World Won’t Wait’, to critical acclaim from blogs & radio. Since moving to London in 2016 to train as an actor, Felix has lived in North London, working as an actor, musician and composer.

“Unbelievable… this stuff belies his age.” – Dermot O’Leary (BBC Radio 2)
