Event description

Join community herbalists Katie Keath Silva and Talia Hammond for a hands on herbal medicine workshop at Jean Marie's Garden in The Gorge!

We have found that by focusing on one healing plant at a time, we can make deep life long relationships with plant allies that we can incorporate into our lives for physical, emotional and spiritual health.

This month we focus on Lemon Balm

Join us as we first meet the plant with our senses and intuition, then move into the physical relationship with the plant through botany identification, direct connection and appreciation, harvest and medicine making.

You will leave the workshop with new herbal medicine making skills, new understanding of herbal medicine concepts and applications, a handful of herbal medicine that you harvested and created yourself and a new reciprocal allyship with a local abundant healing plant ally that may deeply support you and continue to deepen for the rest of your life.

In the Columbia River Gorge, we are surrounded by native and introduced healing plants that we can integrate into our lives as foods, medicines and as psycho spiritual support. In this workshop we will focus on the powerful medicine of Dandelion and learn how to engage directly with this plant in an ethical and sustainable way.

Katie Keath is a community herbalist with extensive training and practice over the last 20 years. They have had a private practice for over two decades combining plant medicine with a variety of healing modalities to support people of all ages and all genders in their path of well being. They are the founder of The yarrow School of Collective Wellness and also teach at The Elderberry School of Botanical Medicine.
