Event Details

This course is the non-technical counterpart to Legistar to provide an overview of City of Sacramento’s Legislative Process as it relates to City Council, Standing Committees, Boards, and Commissions.  This course offers participants a broader understanding of the legislative process and discusses components of the process that take place outside Legistar.  Topics covered will include (but not be limited to):  function of the City Clerk’s Office; report preparation, format, content and purpose; formalizing legislative action (i.e. Resolution and Ordinances); processing contracts; Public Hearing noticing; finding legislative documents; agendas and minutes; submitting presentations; pre- and post-meeting roles and responsibilities, etc.

(Nell Hessel, Legislative Process Manager or Phoebe Schueler, Senior Deputy City Clerk)
