Event description

Description

Our hosts 'Jarmans Solcitors' will be hosting and opening the event.

Gemma Cooper, Skillnet Group, and Andrew Gent and Linda Thomas from Ashford Consulting will be presenting three different topics on Legislation at Work.

Andrew Gent and Linda Thomas will be presenting:

"Employment Tribunals - A necessary cost or missed opportunity”

A brief examination of the impact of the decision of the Supreme Court on 26th July 2017 in the Case of R (on application of UNISON) v Lord Chancellor that the fee system established by the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007 and the Added Tribunals (Employment Tribunals and Employment Appeals Tribunals) Order 2013 are unlawful in relation to ET's and EAT's.

Will this mean a rise in ET's back to the pre 2013 levels or are there opportunities to prevent a large number of cases ending up in expensive proceedings?

Andrew Gent and Linda Thomas are Directors and founders of Ashfold Consulting Limited, a local company with a focus on alternative dispute resolution services and training.

I'm not sure if you will get your lunch by 1pm as this is going to be a very interesting and interactive session.
