Survivors, friends, family, and interested community members are invited to join us at HopeWorks for a free training to learn the basics about the Maryland legislative process and the many ways you can get involved and make your voice heard. Sexual and intimate partner violence-related legislature proposed for the 2018 legislative session with be shared and discussed.

Topics will include: How a bill is introduced and becomes a law, how to follow a bill, how to contact your legislators, helpful resources for staying informed, and how to become an active participant in the legislative process.
