Legislate & Learn with APA Colorado

Join the APA Colorado Legislative Committee and Sen. Faith Winter and Rep. Dylan Roberts to learn about new legislation. Let's talk about the issues important to us as planners and ways to advance good planning in our communities. Whether new grant programs, state resources, or requirements, we will discuss the impacts of new and how we can best prepare as planners.

AGENDA

• Following a short introduction, we’ll dive straight into important legislation from 8:00-9:00am with Sen. Winter and Rep. Roberts. We will learn about the bills they have supported this year and have Q&A from you!
• From 9:00-10:30am we talk through additional bills that pertain to planning with a focus on APA Colorado’s Five Legislative Priorities for 2022: Affordable Housing, Climate Change & Energy Planning, Transportation, Water Planning & Conservation, and Infrastructure Development & Coordination. We will also hear from APA Public Affairs Staff about federal legislation and the connection between our national and state legislative priorities and efforts.
