Event description

Description

Reggae and Revolution.

There would be no cannabis legalization movement without Peter Tosh and Jawara McIntosh. Massachusetts has "legalized it," but there is still much work to do. Join us to celebrate legalization and to help us raise money and awareness for the McIntosh Family.

On February 21, 2017, Jawara McIntosh, son of legendary Reggae legend, Peter Tosh, was beaten into a coma while serving a six-month jail sentence for a marijuana related offense. The McIntosh family is seeking the Department of Justice to conduct an independent investigation into the circumstances of the beating. Jawara is a father of four young children.

We of the legalization movement believe Jawara should never have been in jail. We are seeking justice for Jawara. All proceeds will go to the McIntosh family.

  • Live music from the Dis N Dat Band; Dub DJ, Selassie Selectah, from WZBC 90.3FM;

  • Bring your own cannabis;

  • Thoughts from activists;

  • Words from the McIntosh family;
