Event description

Description

Appropriately costed legal services are often critical to successful small business and start up launch and growth, and yet many small businesses and entrepreneurs seek greater support in finding the right attorney for their needs.

The District of Columbia has the most lawyers per capita in the nation, and small law firms are small businesses too! We invite our community stakeholders to help create a strategy for supporting entrepreneurs finding the legal services they need and want.

Hosted at Hera Hub DC, this is an open discussion on building an appropriate referral system or systems to support DC businesses. Stakeholder meetings are always open, and anyone may submit topics for the agenda.

The Office of Tech & Innovation at the DC Department of Small & Local Business Development supports building the entrepreneurial ecosystem in DC through community stakeholder engagement and the development of pilot programs. Please note, DSBLD cannot and does not provide legal advice.

If you require accommodations, please reach out to Katherine.Mereand-Sinha@dc.gov.

This series will run the third Monday of each month from September 2017 through March 2018.
