Our MISSION is to UNITE Landlords and harness our collective knowledge, experience and purchasing power for increased profitability and to effect CHANGE through effective leadership and advocacy.

Summary:

We will be covering topics relevant to Landlords and Realtors who represent Landlords of single family and small apartment rental properties in the District of Columbia.

Discussion will regard legislative changes including education requirements, the new policy omitting criminal screening as well as tools, addenda and infrastructure.

Agenda:

  • 5:45pm-6:15pm: Open forum: Landlord introductions, open dialogue to present challenges and solutions / best practices
  • 6:15pm-6:45pm: Fair Criminal Screening for Housing Act of 2016 and it's enforcement effective October 1, 2017
  • 6:45pm-7:05pm: Break: Network and exchange information with fellow Landlords-United
  • 7:05pm-7:45pm: Establishment of a written rental eligibility criteria for gauging suitability for traditional tenants and subsidized housing recipients
  • 7:45pm-8:00pm: "Education is the best form of advocacy" Recap, developments and outlook
