Launched in 2016, the Legacy Project partners with community-led organizations to support projects that expand access to sustainable infrastructure and programs across disinvested neighborhoods in the greater Los Angeles area. Through our annual grant, volunteer events and resource referral, the committee serves USGBC-LA’s mission of “working together to transform Southern California into a more sustainable region for all.”

If you're not a USGBC-LA member yet, we encourage you to check out our membership page.

We are an open community, learning and collaborating with each other. If you would like to make a 5-minute (max) presentation at a Legacy Project Committee meeting on a topic, organization, idea or yes, even yourself, we’d love to hear from you. All requests will be reviewed and forwarded to the committee co-chairs. (No sales pitches, please!) To get started, please fill out this survey.

USGBC-LA is about people.

Passionate, practical, and informed professionals and advocates who work together to transform Southern California into a more sustainable region for all.

USGBC-LA is the best place for anyone to learn the “why”, “who” and “how” of living sustainably, because business as usual is no longer an option. Volunteers and members believe in a sustainable built environment, gaining education, being exposed to innovation, and taking impactful action.
