Legacy Planning and Art Assets for Estate, Wealth, and Legal Professionals will shed light on issues around estate and legacy planning with art collections in order to serve clients needs and provide added value. Gaining a better understanding of how art creates emotional and financial value allows professionals to better achieve their clients’ financial and emotional goals through asset management and estate planning.

Amie Potsic, MFA is the CEO and Principal of Amie Potsic Art Advisory LLC, Chair of the Art In City Hall Artistic Advisory Board to the Office of Arts and Culture of the City of Philadelphia, as well as an established photographer and installation artist. Ms. Potsic provides exceptional advisory services for collectors, artists, institutions, and businesses. With over 20 years experience in the field, a Master’s in Fine Art, and comprehensive training to be a Fine Art Appraiser, she has a uniquely nuanced understanding of the art market, creative development, and collections management. Ms. Potsic has extensive experience curating and executing exhibitions and installations in museums, galleries, healthcare environments, and corporations. Her areas of specialization include Post-war and Contemporary Art, Emerging Art, and Vintage and Contemporary photography.

Ms. Potsic earned her MFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and BA’s in Photojournalism and English Literature from Indiana University, where she graduated with Distinguished Honors and a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She also studied at the University of The Arts in Philadelphia and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC. She has completed further training in business and leadership through the Fox School of Business at Temple University, The Non-Profit Center of Le Salle University, National Arts Strategies, and the Designing Leadership program of the Arts and Business Council of Philadelphia. Ms. Potsic also completed the Comprehensive Appraisal Studies Program (CASP) of the Appraisers Association of America in New York and is Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) compliant.
