About this Event

The Legacy of Leadership program nurtures emerging Native professionals and advocates that serve the Native populations of King County, Washington. Cohort members complete one year of leadership training sessions addressing issues and topics relevant to the urban Native community, and work in groups to realize their own projects with guidance from a mentor. Monthly Engagement Sessions focus on professional development, community development, finances, governance, leadership, interspersed with the work and legacy of the Gang of Four. The 2019-2020 cohort members are Sarah Anderson, Breanna Foulkes, Chelsea Hendrickson, Kateri Joe, Britany Lindley, Karen Lizzy, Tanya Marceau, Francesca Murnan, Candi Ruckman, Zizi Stewart, Julia Wilson, and Edna Wyena.

This June, our cohort will complete their leadership journey with Native Action Network. Join us on June 4, 6-8pm, at Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center for an evening of celebration, and learn more about the cohort participants as they share updates on their community projects and future goals.

Dinner will be served.
