Event description
LEED project professionals and share insights and strategies on LEED for hospitality and venue facilities through the building life cycle

About this event

Behind the LEED program is an immense infrastructure developed to support leaders in the industry as they innovate and create cutting-edge high performing buildings.

Hotels, conventions centers, stadiums and other public assembly spaces within the hospitality industry have unique design and operational needs. Features such as onsite amenities, high energy and water demands, convention facilities, and transient or surging visitors, hospitality properties can present unique challenges and opportunities in areas of environmental performance. LEED addresses these specific circumstances in order to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and promote alternative transportation.

This session looks at the latest versions of LEED for building design and construction (BD+C) and operations and maintenance (O+M) to empower users in understanding and enhancing their sustainability performance, promote human health, and contribute to a higher quality of occupant satisfaction throughout a building’s life cycle. The session will address best practices related to building reentry, pandemic preparedness, and ongoing performance measures through LEED Recertification. USGBC and GBCI staff along with public assembly professionals will share their insights, experiences, and answer your questions specific to hospitality and venue projects.

Review the LEED v4.1 BD+C: Hospitality credits and LEED v4.1 O+M beta guide for further insights and details. Then join us to learn more and ask your questions. This 1:00 pm ET Session will feature projects in the Americas; the 8:00 a.m. ET session will feature projects based in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
