Description
Join LEED Prep teachers and mentors for a full day of professional development* at Norfolk County Agricultural High School from 9am-3pm.
We'll be expoloring connections between green building and climate stability. We'll also be workshopping this year's Student Innovation Showcase and preparing ourselves (and students) for the LEED Green Associate Exam.
Thanks to Norfolk Aggie teacher Pete Kane, who will also be hosting a tour of his net positive home that incorporates photovoltaic, solar thermal, passive solar, super insulation, and has no furnace, boiler, or wood stove.
Sample Agenda
- 8:30-9am: Light breakfast
- 9-9:15am: Welcome
- 9:15-10:30am: Case study #1 & LEED Green Associate preparation
- 10:30-10:45am: Break
- 10:45-11:45: Case Study #2 & LEED Green Associate preparation
- 11:45am-1pm: Tour of Net positive home (lunch included!)
- 1-2pm: Break-out (Student Innovation Showcase or LEED Green Associate Exam registration
- 2-3pm: Case Study #3 & LEED Green Associate preparation

* EcoRise will be providing teachers with 6 hours of PD Points for Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education. LEED-credentialed teachers and mentors may submit self-reported LEED CE hours as applicable.
