Event description

Description

All children in the National Capital Region deserve an excellent education. While the barriers that must be overcome in Montgomery County differ from DC, kids here are equally deserving.

Please join your fellow Montgomery County LEE members and hostess Molly Friedland in welcoming LEE's new Director of Regional Impact, Cassandra Sanchez by sharing work you're doing to combat education inequity, connect with like-minded TFA alumni, and learn how LEE can support you in scaling up your impact. One such alum is Maryland State Senator Bill Ferguson, who will share updates on the Kirwan Commission and how the state's funding formula priorities can impact the next generation of students in Maryland schools.

Please reach out to Cassandra.Sanchez@EducationalEquity.org for more information. Anyone who lives, works, or is concerned about education in MoCo is welcome to attend. Food will be provided.

From Molly: For folks taking public transportation, we’re about 1.3 mi from the Friendship Heights Metro. There are buses that run from the Metro Sation to Connecticut Avenue right by our house or it’s a $5 uber ride.
