Description

Join us for a free overview of the L.E.E. Medical Office Skills Program. This mandatory Information Session serves as the first step in applying to be a member of our award winning job training program. We will provide you with information about the L.E.E. Program and its purpose, answer your questions; and you will have the opportunity to move forward with your application.

WHAT TO DO FIRST?

Sign up for an Information Session by choosing a date from the dropdown menu above and complete your application. Please register for the Information Session as if you are filling out a job application. Please read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) below before completing your application.

ITEMS TO BRING TO INFORMATION SESSION

When your application is complete, print your ticket and bring it to your session with the following required documents. NOTE: All documents listed below are mandatory.

  • Your picture government ID
  • Social Security Cards for you and all other household members
  • Proof of your high school diploma or GED
  • Proof of all income for everyone living in your home (everyone under your roof)
  • Your lease, if applicable
  • Your Food Stamps/SNAP award letter, if applicable
  • Your resume (if you have one).
  • If you do not have a resume, please bring a list of your work history for the last 10 year including the name of the employer, your title, the month and year you started and stopped working there, and your specific duties. If you have not worked during the last 10 years please provide a written explanation.


JUST SERIES*

Please Note: As a mandatory part of your L.E.E. Medical Office Skills Program application, you will have to participate in a soft-skills training program through Lee County Depatment of Human & Veteran Services called JUST (Job Upward Success Training). More information will be given to you by the L.E.E. Coordinators during the application process.

WHEN WILL THE L.E.E. MEDICAL OFFICE SKILLS CLASSES BEGIN?

Classes will begin October 2017. Exact dates and location will be shared at your Information Session.

  • If you cannot provide all of the documentation listed above by your scheduled Information Session date, please click the "Contact the Host" box to the right and email specific information on the steps you have taken to obtain documentation. Please include your expected timeframe.
  • The L.E.E. Medical Office Skills Program trains participants in professional workplace skills. When attending your session, please plan as if you were attending a job interview.
  • Additional dates for the L.E.E. Medical Office Information Workshop may be added as needed. Please watch for more.

FAQs

I have a certification or degree higher than a high school diploma/GED, can I still apply?

No. The L.E.E. Program is geared towards individuals who have never had the opportunity to complete a certification/degree. Also, if you have completed a certification/higher degree you already have an opportunity to earn a higher wage.

Once I complete this registration am I now apart of the L.E.E. Program?

No. Completing your registration on the Eventbrite website is the first step to register to attend the L.E.E. Program Information Session. There are multiple steps you will have to complete before you are accepted into the program. Please come prepared to the Information Session to learn more about the application process.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes, you are required to bring your valid government ID. Approved applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Please use Human & Veteran Services' designated parking lot in front of the building only.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Treat this workshop as if you were attending a job interview. This includes being prepared with all required documentation; arranging child care in advance and attending without children or any other persons not applying for the program; and appropriate attire/grooming.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

No. Your registration must be in your name with accurate registration information that matches your photo ID.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

No. The name on your registration must match the attendee by proof of picture ID.
