About this event
Robert Cooper is a postdoc at UCLA where he conducts research on conservation genomics and ecology of reptiles and amphibians. He primarily works on the endangered California tiger salamander where he applies genomic tools to address pressing conservation problems, including: non-native hybridization, genetic rescue, and landscape resistance.
Join us as Robert presents preliminary data and introduces a recently funded project designed to increase the genetic health and population stability of the California tiger salamander species. In this talk he will describe his proposed methods and research design, and also look at the life history of this amazing amphibian.
