Description

2-Day Workshop. Delve into the history of Art Deco jewelry and how this historical art movement, is represented in contemporary Art Jewelry. Explore Art Deco and investigate color and design patterns. Students will create jewelry with found remnants of leather, fur, and metal. This movement defined by shape, color, and geometry will be used to create jewelry. Participants will sketch and model while creating their final pieces. This workshop is designed for adults 18+ at all skill levels. Instructor: Ashley Ernest


Skill Level:  All (Ages 18 +)

Class Size:  12 Maximum

Tools Required: List will be provided upon registration

Sewing machines, Sewing needles & Thread, X-acto knives & blades, Scissors, Drafting paper/drawing materials, Resin/leather glue, Model making material-including cardboard, glue, & tape, Metal components & findings for, constructing pieces, Jeweler’s pliers and cutters, Leather & Fur Remnants, PC/and/or projector for images

 

Saturday – Sunday, October 29 & 30, 10 am – 4 pm

$95 Members / $125 Nonmembers

Materials fee: $20 (Payable to instructor)
