Event description

Description

The 100 Languages of Infants and Toddlers: Rich stories from the field

Join us as we think about the principles of the Reggio Emilia Approach and how they apply to infant toddler classrooms and community relationships. In this workshop we will reflect on multiple forms of classroom documentation and use pedagogical protocols to re-envision our teaching practice with our very young students. We will discuss types of loose parts or materials to use with infants and toddlers, including the question of risk versus hazard in early learning. Kim Ripley, a veteran infant-toddler teacher of 25 years from the Early Learning Center at Hampshire College, shares learning stories and influence of the Reggio Emilia Approach.
