This workshop will be begin with a discussion of Yupo properties and a demonstration of the many techniques available to those who enjoy the freedom of watercolor. Yupo is a slick plastic-type surface and paint slips and slides with guidance painting itself. The result can be fluid, loose and juicy...but it can be controlled with the end result being almost photo-realistic...or anything in between. The swirling, blending of colors can be mesmerizing. Students will learn how to do smooth flat surfaces with rollers and other tools. Kris will use her skills to encourage students in this enticing, fun medium. Supply List will be provided upon registration and supplies are not included in the cost of the class/workshop.
Kristin Woodward has been teaching locally since 1985. She is an active member in the Colonie Art League and Central New York Watercolor Society. Her work is extensively exhibited and collected across the region.
Please note that our classes are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
