Workshop Description

Go back to the beginning, from cells to pre-birth, with a basic introduction to embryology from a Body-Mind Centering® perspective, to our earliest memories of our very creation, and see how it informs our movement patterns today. Move from newborn to one-year-old patterns, experiencing the relational cycle of yield, push, reach and pull, as well as the Series One developmental movement exercises, also from the work of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen. Practice adult forms through limb relationships and integration, bringing Irmgard Bartenieff Fundamentals into the mix, as we practice and apply these teachings to MFL.

Q) I registered for a workshop, but I cannot attend it. What can I do?

A) Let us know as soon as possible as your options depend on how much notice you give us. See our cancellation policy below:

  • 30-day notice: 100% Refund or 100% Credit towards future workshops within a year's time.
  • 14-day notice: 50% Refund OR 100% Credit towards future workshops within a year's time.
  • 1-day notice: 100% Credit towards future workshops within a year's time.
  • NOTE: MFL reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. In this case, registrants will have the option to get a full refund or credit towards a future workshop.


Q) What do I need to bring to the workshop?

A) Please plan to arrive approximately 10-15 minutes before the class starting time. Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, and plan to be barefoot. You may wish to bring a sweatshirt, socks and a towel or yoga mat as we will be on the floor. If you wish to take notes, bring a pen/pencil and either a notebook or pad of paper. Also I would advise a bottle of water and snacks.
