Carly- Jay Metcalfe is a hospital and community spiritual carer and our guest speaker for this 1/2 day workshop. She will lead us with her infectious humour as well as the serious side to looking at what we can learn to do things differently to what we have learnt culturally about death, dying and grieving. What can be done better? What euphemism's do we use to hide away from the reality of death. eg. 'To pass away' or 'Grandma has gone'

We live in a society in which death is anathema, an enemy to be awoided at all costs. We have become a society that worships youth, fitness and health at the expense of the many lessons that could be learned from pain and loss.

Carly will inform and lead us in discussion and open our minds to possibilities and new ways to look at Death.
