About this event
Soil is the essence from which all life grows, but most are just discovering how complex it is, and why the health of our soil matters. Veronica will talk us through:
• The Soil Food Web & its 4 primary micro-organisms groups
• Nutrient Cycling and how our Plants thrive on its services
• Soil Structure and the role of Organic Matter
• The Results of Healthy Soil and the importance of Microbial Analysis
Presenter Bio: Veronica Alice, Microbial Planet Analytics
In March 2020 Veronica became a student of the esteemed Dr. Elaine Ingham, widely recognized as the world’s foremost soil biologist. Veronica completed the Soil Food Web Foundation training with Distinction. Under the guidance of Dr Adrienne Godschalx Veronica earned her certificate as a Soil Food Web Lab Technician. Currently Veronica is training to become a Soil Food Web Consultant.
Veronica is a life long food, herb and flower gardener with a specialty in Cannabis production. Veronica operates a mobile lab and is available for on site bookings. Her clients are located in the Kootenays, the Okanagan Valley, Pemberton Valley and the Sunshine Coast.
Veronica also assists backyard gardeners who are working with or wanting to transition into the living system nature provided. She also assists small to medium sized market gardens and farms. Her personal interest is monitoring soil biology of coastal and old growth forests.
