Learning From His Life: Peter
Tue, April 18, 2017, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM EDT
He was an outspoken fisherman. More than a little impetuous. He often seemingly got himself in trouble. And yet he was one of Jesus' inner circle of followers. And he ended up living an exemplary life as a follower of Jesus. There is much we can learn from Peter.
In this four evening intensive, we will dip into a number of passages from the Gospels to learn how Jesus drew this man into a remarkable disciple-life. In his second epistle, Peter wrote that he was addressing those who had received a faith like his own (2 Peter 1:1). That suggests that his rich life as a follower is not an exclusive and unique experience. We could share in the same kind of life as we learn from him.
This class will meet four consecutive Tuesday evenings, beginning April 18, meeting each night from 6:30 until 8:30 pm (Apr 18, 25, May 2, 9). Although there is no cost for this class, we do ask you to register so that we can plan appropriately.
