Learn to sing Global song! #Croydon
Mon, April 24, 2017, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM BST
Learn to sing joyous songs from diverse traditions. All voices welcome, no need to read music, no one is ever put on the spot!
We will sing in the beautiful flat access wellbeing gallery in the centre of Croydon, Studio Upstairs, 2-4 Park Street, arrive 6.45 starts from 7 - 8.30 pm on a Monday evening. Right by the bus stops! Couldn't be easier!
5 week ‘learn to sing’ course with Catherine, non-performing. We will cover vocal warmups, pitching, breath control and performance aspects as well as sing the usual range of global harmony sounds to warm hearts and build a sense of community. By going for a 5 week commitment to a class we can ensure that each week you will have enough people present for an uplifting and enjoyable group sing. Drop ins are still welcome and bursary places are available for those for whom the costs prove challenging, let Catherine know.
Fees: 5 week block £25 or £18 concessions. Drop in rates £7or £5 concessions so you even if you will need to miss one, you can still get a saving by block booking. Helping you to help us! You are welcome to pay here or email us to get a mailing address for a cheque or bring money on the night if you reserve by email. It helps us to have advance responses though - kind of like when you have a party!
Dates are a bit affected by Bank holidays - here they are: 24/4, 8th 15th, 22 May and 5th June.
If you would like to have a go at performing we will let you know of fun scratch choir events with *Cronx Chorus* across the summer! But you never have to join these as this class stands alone in the moment for pure relaxation and enjoyment.
I am not confident about my voice, is it ok to attend? Yes this is just the right group for you, even if you bray like a donkey! It is amazing how quickly our voices come on when we sing with others. Do try it!
