Join us for a two-hour introduction to rowing. In the first half of the session, you will learn the fundamentals: rowing safety, proper technique, boathouse etiquette and essential rowing terminology. Then you, your new boat mates and our experienced rowers and coxswains will jump in a boat and row together on the water!
Safe, fun and challenging--our Learn-to-Row program is an exciting way for individuals of all ages and levels to experience rowing. In fact, many of our champion-level rowers first experienced the sport at our learn-to-row clinic.
Each session is $75 and is open to men and women ages 13 and older.
Register early as slots fill up quickly!
The two-hour sessions start every half hour from 7 a.m. and, depending on registration, to noon. We will do our best to accommodate special requests for specific times and specific boatings with friends and family, but we are constrained by available seats in the boat.
Arrive 15 minutes early to check-in.
Guest rowers should dress for exercise outside:
- Bike pants or shorts, leggings or similar close-fitting pants
- Hip-length shirt (as longer shirts can get caught in the boat’s seat tracks)
- Fitted jacket or sweatshirt (in case it is chilly or windy on the water)
- Snug socks
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat
- Water bottle
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to speak to someone directly, email us your name, phone number and the best time to reach you.
Registration is nonrefundable.
If you have any questions about your own physical fitness or ability to participate, please consult your physician.
