In this workshop, experienced teacher Henri Salonen will introduce the ukulele, give basic information on how to play it, teach a simple song or two, and will lead you in playing while singing (since singing goes hand-in-hand with playing the ukulele!)

This course is specially designed for teenagers and adults! You are welcome to bring your own ukulele, but if you do not have one, the school can provide one for the duration of the event.

At ISM Finland, we practice safe workshop etiquette. This includes maintaining safe minimum distances in indoor locations, disinfecting instruments, and using masks when necessary.

Price: 35€ for a two-hour workshop (with a 30-minute break)

Contents:

• A short presentation on the ukulele
• Position and tuning
• Basic body percussion and basic strumming patterns
• Basic chords
• C major scale and playing melodies
• Accompanying songs with basic strumming patterns
