Learn to make Chinese dumplings with Ally

Cooking is social and cooking is fun! Come and learn how to make two kinds of Chinese dumplings with Ally and have loads of fun doing it!
I am a Chinese native and has a passion for food and cooking. I love dumplings because dumping making is an extremely social activity in China. Usually the whole family spends half a day making dumplings together while chit chatting away. I always have this warm and fussy feeling whenever I think about dumpling making. I want to bring this experience to more people and share my original recipes.
The class will take place at my home near Shoreditch. I will teach you how to make two types of dumplings: fried dumplings and boiled dumplings. I will demonstrate how to mix the fillings, two types of folding techniques and two cooking methods. You will then get your hands dirty to make those dumplings. Based on previous experiences, people get quite competitive here! You will enjoy the fruit of your labor and a special dessert I prepare. As a perfect ending to the whole experience, I will serve Chinese tea I brought back from China.

You will enjoy a 3 course Chinese dumpling meal and Chinese Tea:
Appetizer: Turkey, Green Bean and Corn Pot Stickers (fried dumplings). Ingredients include: minced turkey, green beans, corns, Chinese spring onion, ginger, Chinese cooking wine, soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, numbing pepper, vinegar, corn starch, vegetable oil and vinegar.
Main: Boiled Pork, Shrimp and Chive Dumplings. Ingredients include: minced pork, shrimp, Chinese chive, mushroom, water chestnut, Chinese spring onion, ginger, Chinese cooking wine, soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, numbing pepper, corn starch and vinegar.
Dessert: Chinese red bean soup. Ingredients include: red bean, mung bean, tapioca pearls, brown sugar and coconut milk.
Finishing: Chinese tea tasting.
