This event runs on Thursday, December 8th from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday December 9th from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. In order to complete your website, you must attend both days. Lunch and snacks will be provided on both days.
There are SO many options when it comes to building a website for your business or nonprofit organization.
Do you hire a developer or marketing staff?
Do you go at it alone and spend hours searching for tutorials?
What platform do you pick?
And the technical decisions are only half the battle. You still need to decide what to put on your site, how to organize your content, and much more.
To find a happy medium between hiring a developer and trying to build a website on your own, I’m creating a three-part workshop that walks you through the technical AND marketing side of building a website.
One-hour, one-on-one consultation to discuss your online marketing goals and set you on the path to preparing your website content. (This happens before the date of the event.)
Hands-on, in-person, two-day workshop where you will learn how to work with WordPress and how to build your self-hosted WordPress website.
One-hour follow up session, within 30 days of completion of the workshop, to fine-tune any issues with your site. (This happens after the event)
- This class is designed primarily for brick-and-mortar businesses and nonprofit organizations, as well as freelancers, business consultants and service based businesses—it does not cover e-commerce websites. However, it is possible to later add an e-commerce component to the website you create in this workshop; I can guide you through that process for an additional fee.
- This class does not include the creation of your website content (the text, marketing messages, and photos/images). During Part 1, we will brainstorm with you and guide you in the right direction to create your content, but you will be responsible for writing it.
- This class does not cover CSS or PHP coding. You will not learn how to become a WordPress developer, but you will leave with a fully functional website for your business—a website that you’ll have the ability to make changes to any time you wish!
Some consultants charge $150/hour or more for online marketing consulting, and websites can easily cost a minimum of $5,000. Due to our partnership with pair Networks, we are pleased to be able to offer the three-part class PLUS one year of WordPress hosting for $647!
