Learn, Lead, Vote! A Forum on the 2019 Ballot Proposals
Wednesday, October 30th, 2019 at 6:30pm - Lower East Side Girls Club
New Yorkers across the five boroughs will soon vote on five ballot questions that could change our local elections (Rank Choice Voting), how police officers are held accountable, government ethics rules, the city budget process, and how land in the city is developed.
Whether you will take advantage of the new Early Voting option from Oct. 26th - Nov. 3rd, or vote on Election Day, Nov. 5th, it's time to learn more about the questions that will appear on the back of the ballot!
We are thrilled to be joined by Commissioner Alison Hirsh, who will speak to the proposals, why they matter, and highlight the various resources available to inform and engage your community in this historic vote!
You will also hear about many ways to inform your community and "get out the vote" from an amazing coalition of co-sponsoring organizations: Lower East Side Girls Club, 21 in '21, Women of Color for Progress, Eleanor's Legacy, Amplify Her, Black Women's Political Club, New American Leaders Action Fund, She Will Rise, The Broad Room, Emgage, Dare to Run and Generation Citizen!
We look forward to seeing you at the forum!
