WHAT YOU GET:

Fermentation workshop

Short plant identification walk on our way to the goat farm. Not much during the winter but we'll see some interesting plants.

Goats visit and petting.

Feel free to hang around afterwards, go on a hike or visit the beautiful mountain town of Wrightwood only 15 minutes away.

WHAT TO BRING:

Bring with you a regular green cabbage (organic is much better) and (optional) 3-4 bok choy, a sharp knife and a couple of pint jars (500 ml) with top . The bok choy will be used to make a spicier kimchi-like ferment if we have the time.

I’ll take care of the rest.

LOCATION:

The workshop is taking place at Angeles Crest Creamery in my pottery and wild food research studio. Angeles Crest Creamery is a beautiful 70-acre goat ranch in the San Gabriel Mountains just 90 minutes from LA and 13 miles to Wrightwood.

The actual fermentation workshop is from 10:30 AM to around 1 PM (maybe a tad more), with a quick plant walk and visiting the goats, we should be done around 3PM.

We meet at the Mile High Café where you can park your car and walk from there to my studio located on the other side of the street. The address for the Mile High Café is 20033 Big Pines Hwy, Valyermo CA 93563

I'll be there to welcome you and show you where to park.
