Event description
The Lean Construction in the Field Conference

About this event

The Lean Construction Blog is hosting a virtual conference on September 15-16, 2021. This is a Lean practitioner-led event and will showcase some of the best practices of applying Lean Construction in the field. This conference is designed to help people working in the construction site including superintendents, project managers, project engineers, and field crew learn Lean practices so that they can improve: the efficiency, effectiveness, and safety of their projects.

Why Attend?

The Lean Construction in the Field Conference is suited for everyone working in the AEC industry, from owners and project executives to trade partners and superintendents working at any stage of a project from design through construction. Here are some of the reasons for why you should attend:

  • Expert Speakers: We have a group of internationally-renowned Lean Construction practitioners who are leaders in the industry and in their respective companies. We will host a panel of superintendent as well as lean champions to share stories, compare best practices, and talk about problems that they had to overcome.
  • Latest Topics: We will discuss some of the most important topics in the field of Lean Construction including: how to engage superintendents and foreman with Lean Construction, driving continuous improvement, how to develop capabilities, learning from Gemba, visual management, and making work ready for reliable flow.
  • Knowledge To Help You Get Started: The goal of this conference is to help the people working in the field acquire the knowledge and ideas that they can use immediately to improve their construction projects. This conference is aimed at helping both beginners as well as veterans enhance their skills and understanding of important Lean topics.
  • Earn AGC-CM Lean Continuation Education Credits: AGC of America recognizes the Lean Construction in the Field Conference as qualifying for continuing education hours towards the renewal of AGC’s Certificate of Management-Lean Construction (CM-Lean). Each hour of educational content is equal to 1 hour of CE credit. Attendees may earn up to 9.5 hours of CE credit by attending the entire Virtual Conference, Sept 15-16.
