The LWV Virginia's Convention will be held from June 2 - 4, 2023 in beautiful Williamsburg, Virginia!

In addition to the important business meetings, we have great speakers and presentations.

• Saturday Lunch speaker Brenda Andrews, President and Owner at New Journal and Guide Newspaper (Virginia’s oldest Black weekly newspaper.)

Professor A.E. Dick Howard

Professor Howard rewrote the Virginia Constitution in 1971 to guarantee Black voting rights and was a chief consultant to Governor Terry McAuliffe efforts to restore rights to returning citizens. widely acknowledged as an expert in the fields of constitutional law, comparative constitutionalism, and the Supreme Court, A. E. Dick Howard is the Warner-Booker Distinguished Professor of International Law at the University of Virginia.

The cost is $150 per person, and includes a morning break, lunch, an afternoon break, dinner as well as entry to all events. (We are making extra tickets to dinner available if you wish to bring a guest to hear Professor Howard, at a rate of $55.)

A room block is being held at the Embassy Suites, 3006 Mooretown Road, Williamsburg. Our rate is $159 per night - double or single. Call 800-284-3930 before May 10, 2023, and ask for the LWV Virginia Convention rate. The hotel provides free parking and free breakfast daily.

Parking at WM is currently $6 per car per day. That is not included in the cost.

The hotel provides free breakfast and there is a coffee shop on campus. However, if you wish to have breakfast in the Sadler cafeteria on Saturday and Sunday mornings, the fee will be $15.00 total.
