Pyrafractal Immersive Experience™

This optional package provides an enhanced, immersive learning experience for you through 'Gemba Walk' tours, in-depth Lean-Agile discussions and team retrospectives. This option involves extended evenings on the 24th & 25th plus excursions on Friday the 26th.

Your journey includes an exciting day of small and large group activities and exercises. Experience a well attended and interactive Program Increment (PI) Planning Session, participate in a Reel Agile™ facilitated discussion of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. Continue your journey with a Gemba Walk of the Ford Rouge River Factory, then make your way to the heart of Ann Arbor where you’ll examine why The Menlo Factory is a bit like Wonka’s. Sample some of the amazing food conspired by Zingerman’s Team, get locked in a room with some new friends and use your newfound skills to get out before it’s too late. Celebrate, dine and retrospect back at Zingerman’s Roadhouse before returning to the hotel and settling in for an engaging Fireside Chat with mentors and fellow session participants until 10:30pm.

We conclude with a visit to Greenfield Village, Henry Ford’s Masterpiece and collection of homes and artifacts, but more importantly inspiration. Experience a guided tour from the inventions of farm living to the age of flight and beyond, where you’ll take the glass blower’s apprentice test, form a brass candlestick, and ride in original Model-T Fords. Complete your day with an awards ceremony because we believe you’ve accomplished something special. Receive your Immersive Experience T-Shirt, but for this course you can have it in any color, as long as it is black. We’ll take care of the meals and snacks; You focus on making connections and expanding your horizons.

Summary

During this course, attendees will gain the knowledge necessary to lead a Lean-Agile enterprise by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), and its underlying principles derived from Lean, systems thinking, Agile development, product development flow, and DevOps. They will discuss the five competencies needed to become a Lean Enterprise. They will also learn and practice the skills for supporting and executing PI Planning events, and coordinating multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

Attendees will gain an understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset, why it’s so effective in today’s adapt-or-die marketplace, and what it means to lead a Lean-Agile transformation. They’ll also learn how to build and support Agile teams and programs, empower a Lean Portfolio, build a Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, and coordinate large solutions. They will develop a skillset that’s in demand worldwide—and empower their enterprises to succeed in a disruptive marketplace—when they become a SAFe® 4 Agilist (SA).

Attending the class prepares individuals to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Agilist (SA).
