Leadership in Crisis/Hospitality Sector Impact

Heather Evans is chief marketing officer of Rhode Island Commerce. She previously held the same role at Investment Technology Group and J.P. Morgan Global Markets. In these roles, Evans pioneered advanced marketing techniques and strategies, leveraging data and new technologies to capture market share. Among her entrepreneurial ventures, Evans founded a small, independent hotel on the island of Bequia in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, gaining the perspective of a hospitality business owner. Evans is a trustee of the Providence Preservation Society and was in the 2019 cohort of Leadership Rhode Island. She earned her undergraduate degree and MBA from Harvard College and Harvard Business School, respectively, and has taught at Harvard, New York University, and the Pratt Institute.
