Description

Workplace Communication as an Art Form:

How to Speak and with Clarity and Command

Join us for our monthly lunch and learn professional development series where people come to stay current in leadership skills and meet other professionals in northern CO. Inspiring leaders are great communicators. They know how to speak in a way that causes others to sit up and pay attention. They also know clarity and emotional intelligence are important levers of success to leaders, while authenticity is a key asset in cultivating trust. Lunch included.

Creating a culture of authentic communication can liberate great amounts of creativity and productivity within an organization. The central skill involves taking healthy responsibility for your communication and using simple practices that harness your innate emotional intelligence and engage others.

At the end of this training, you will be able to:

  1. use a simple skill to harness your emotional intelligence in speaking

  2. speak in a way that invites others to engage, not argue or blame

  3. make powerful requests

Lunch and networking from 11:30-12:00. Content and practice from 12:00-12:50, with time for questions and mindling at the end. We end at 1:00pm.
