Event description

Description

The Leadership Forum at Cairn is a monthly meeting of business and organization leaders who seek to lead biblically and as faithful stewards wherever they are. These meetings will feature special guest lectures and provide an opportunity for networking, encouraging one another, and learning together about leadership from a biblical perspective.

The Leadership Forum at Cairn is built upon the long-running Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA) meetings hosted at the University since the 1990’s. We are grateful for the opportunity to gather and grow together as Christian business leaders.

The $17 admission fee includes a catered lunch or breakfast (check the schedule for time)

Tables will be available for you to provide promotional materials or newsletters for your business or organization. Please also bring your business cards. All attendees will receive the attendee contact list.

March's Featured Speaker

Hank Boyer works with some of America’s top companies, helping them implement best practice strategies and programs to improve their hiring, staff development, leadership effectiveness, and sales. Following a successful 24-year career as a corporate executive in technology and telecommunications, Hank founded JehovaJireh Corporation in 1998 to apply Biblical principles to the business world. He advises senior managers in both the profit and non-profit sectors and is a frequent seminar speaker. He’s authored more than 140 training programs currently utilized in North America, Europe and Asia. Hank has written a number of books, including two textbooks on career and job search that are in their eighth editions. In addition to his business endeavors, Hank serves as an adult Bible teacher at A Church of Living Hope in Langhorne, as a Business Advisory Board member for Cairn Enactus, and as a grandfather of four. He resides in Bucks County with his wife Mary, who is Cairn University’s VP of Human Resources.

2017 marks a significant change in America's workplace, a change that will create an employee-driven workforce seeking new opportunities to grow and develop. Gallup research indicates than more than half of America's workers are now engaged in an active job search. Their Number One objective? To grow and develop their skills and capabilities, leading to a higher career trajectory.

The cost of employee turnover is somewhere between a quarter to half a position's annual compensation. Employers who have effective approaches to developing their talent through feedback and coaching will enjoy a decided advantage in the war for talent. This workshop presents a holistic overview of the critical roles of feedback and coaching along with dozens of best practices to assist in creating a pro-development culture.
