Description

Please join us for a FREE professional development day focusing on our most fragile learners in grades K-12. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Doris Dalhouse-Walker from Marquette University. The focus of this presentation is to promote educational equity for diverse struggling readers by supporting their acquisition of foundational English language arts skills and higher order thinking abilities that are required for making sense of literacy and informational texts that are present in both online and offline literacy environments. We will also have a presentation by Dr. Donya Sartor, Senior Curriculum Specialist with McGraw-Hill Education. Dr. Sartor's presentation is entitled "Understanding Language Development: Helping All Children Succeed".

Registration and a Continental breakfast will begin at 8:15. The program will begin at 9. We'll have a mid-morning snack and break between the two presentations. At the conclusion of Dr. Sartor's presentation at 1, lunch will be served.
