Description

The University of Notre Dame and the Stayer Center for Executive Education are pleased to present The Executive as Key Problem-Solver in conjunction with the Kylemore Abbey Global Centre. Please join us in Dublin to learn more about key behaviors that enhance a leader’s effectiveness.

Notre Dame Programme Faculty Pete DeLisle, Ph.D. will present this interactive, dynamic programme offering you tools you can put to use immediately. This afternoon will also serve as an introduction to the Inspirational Leadership at Kylemore program 16-19 October. Notre Dame staff will be available to answer your questions.

Refreshments will be available one hour prior and one hour following the programme--arrive as early as noon and stay until 4 pm.

Upon registration, you will pay a 65€ plus service charge fee.

Who is the presenter, Pete DeLisle, Ph.D.?

Professor DeLisle’s background in leadership education includes award-winning teaching in architecture, commerce, education and engineering. He held the William B. Severns Chair in Human Behavior in the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois in Urbana and is a member of the executive education faculty at the Stayer Center for Executive Education at the University of Notre Dame. He served as Crane Chair in Leadership Studies and Director of the Posey Leadership Institute at Austin College. He was also a Program Manager for the Center for Creative Leadership.

In addition, he has served as resource and advisor to the American Institute of Architects, the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, the E.M. Kauffman Foundation for Entrepreneurial Leadership, the Department of the Army, and Baylor Healthcare System. DeLisle was a Trustee for the Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership.

DeLisle was a human resources executive for Hewlett-Packard Company and founding human resources officer of Convex Computer Corporation of Dallas; DeLisle served in the United States Army as a captain of field artillery and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. He was the distinguished military graduate of the University of Connecticut in 1971.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in human resource development leadership with an emphasis on industry/university collaboration (Phi Kappa Phi) from the College of Education at the University of Texas in Austin.

DeLisle is married for 44 years to Janice Braem DeLisle, a teacher, leader and public school specialist in gifted and talented. They reside in Torrington, Connecticut and Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts.
