Le Tour de Fort 2017
Sat, June 3, 2017, 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM EDT
We welcome returning and new Riders to the 9th annual Le Tour de Fort! Our bicycle pub-crawl allows adults to drink responsibly for a good cause. Event registration is limited to 2000 Riders.
We continue our tradition of making a substantial donation to an organization supporting military Veterans. This year, we will be donating to a Fort Wayne organization, the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 40.
There have been several changes to Le Tour de Fort including a new gathering point and an expanded pre party/packet pick up event. We also will be raffling four high value items that will be of interest to you. More about those items later.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why did you go to a date in June?
A: The last Saturdays in May caused conflicts with the Fort4Fitness Spring Cycle and Memorial Day weekend.
Q: The event has a new starting location?
A: Yes, our Headquarters will be the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 857, located at 2202 West Main Street. It sits atop a small hill at the three-way intersection of Leesburg Road and Main Street. The VFW will also serve as the location for Friday’s packet pick up.
Q: Are you providing a women’s shirt option this year?
A: Yes. We are offering both ladies and men’s fit shirts this year. The men’s shirt is the Gildan Softstyle 64000 and the women’s shirt is the Gildan SoftStyle 64000L. Click on the shirt style and number to access the sizing guide.
Q: Tell me more about Friday’s agenda.
A: In addition to picking up your t-shirt and bike bib number, you will have a chance to buy raffle tickets for four great prizes (more on these items later), have a beer and some food, and listen to Jukebox Bliss rock the house.
Q: Can I register for the ride on Saturday?
A: Probably not. The event is limited to 2000 Riders. We anticipate most—if not all—tickets will sold by the closing of Pre-Registration on May 20th at 11:30 PM. In the event that tickets are still available, there will be a limited number of tickets for sale on Friday, June 2 at the VFW.
Q: Which pubs and bars will be participating in this year’s event?
A: We have a great mix of returning Tour Friendly Locations plus some new stops, too.
Long time favorites include:
The Deck at Hall’s Gas House
JK O’Donnell’s Irish Pub
Deer Park Irish Pub
Green Frog Inn
O’Sullivans Italian Pub
Pedal City Beer Garden
The Brass Rail

Q: Tell me about your new pubs and bars?
A: The Redwood Inn on Main Street and Rudy’s Shop near Parkview Field are ‘Rookie locations’. The Redwood is known for its iconic sausage roll and has a fabulous new outdoor deck area. Rudy’s on Brackenridge is a favorite for cigar smokers, lovers of Indiana beverages and DeBrand fine chocolates.
Q: There’s an ice cream stop, too?
A: Nothing like fresh ice cream to go with your beer. The West Central Microcreamery and Café located at
725 Union St. in Sheridan Court is ready to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings.
Q: Do you have to stop at all the Tour Friendly locations?
A: No. Some Riders try to make the entire circuit while other Riders visit only a handful of locations on their Tour. We want to provide you with a variety of options to plan your day.
Q: Will any pubs and bars offer drink and food specials?
A: Yes. Follow us on social media and stay up to date on Tour news and specials/features at all locations.

Q: I don’t have a bike. Do you rent bikes for the event?
A: No. Please contact our friends at Fort Wayne Outfitters and Bike Depot for bike rental information.
Q: Should I wear a helmet?
A: We strongly encourage our Riders to wear a helmet. Many Riders have done so in the past.
Q: Will Le Tour de Fort continue its tradition of supporting military Veterans?
A: Absolutely. This year, our donation will go to a Fort Wayne organization, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Chapter 40. The DAV provides shuttle vans to the VA hospital and this new vehicle will allow countless Veterans the opportunity to attend medical appointments throughout the VA healthcare network.
Q: May I make an additional donation to support Veterans?
A: Yes. The Event Brite page allows you to make such donations.
